Beta for individuals, starting in the Netherlands

Less hassle with car, home and groceries.

HomeZero aims to take over practical chores: your APK date, home upkeep and a shopping list built around your diet. We plan to start with APK reminders, by hand at first. The app is planned.

APK is the Dutch periodic vehicle inspection, similar to the MOT.

What we do

HomeZero aims to remember and arrange the practical things for you, such as your car inspection, your home upkeep and your groceries. We start with the car.

A message before it matters.

We aim to tell you about a deadline weeks ahead, not the day it is due.

Car, groceries and home.

We start with APK, then plan to add a shopping list built around your diet, and home upkeep.

You decide what comes first.

Beta members tell us what to build first.

Features

We start small and build with the people who join. Each feature shows its status.

Coming next

Car (Intelligent Mobility)

We aim to remind you before your APK expires, then help with appointments and quotes.

Planned

Groceries (Nutritional Logistics)

If you shop or follow a diet, we aim to build your shopping list automatically and, if a supermarket that delivers allows it, order it. You approve every step for as long as you want.

Planned

Home (Domestic Stewardship)

We aim to plan upkeep of your boiler and appliances, help work out faults and keep warranty dates.

Planned

The app

One phone app to see everything and talk to HomeZero AI. It is only a plan and does not exist yet.

Only the free APK check exists today. Everything else is planned, starting with APK reminders by hand. Business features such as supplies and fleets are on our business site.

  • Car Coming next

We aim to remind you before your APK expires, then help with appointments.

Next, we plan to look up your APK date in open RDW data and email a reminder, by hand at first. After that: a maintenance calendar, and appointment and quote requests. Later, HomeZero AI aims to arrange car jobs with your approval.

  • Groceries Planned

We aim to build your shopping list, and order it if a supermarket allows.

For anyone who shops or follows a diet, we aim to build a shopping list automatically. If a supermarket that delivers allows it, we aim to place the order too. Planned, not built. You approve every step for as long as you want.

  • Home Planned

We aim to plan home upkeep and keep appliance warranty dates in one place.

We aim to build a calendar for your boiler, smoke detectors and filters, help work out what is wrong when an appliance fails, and keep warranty dates. Later, HomeZero AI would suggest the next step; you approve it.

  • The app Planned

One phone app to see everything and talk to HomeZero AI.

The app is only a plan and does not exist yet. The idea: you say what you want, HomeZero AI prepares it, and you approve it. Beta members help decide what goes in first.

Illustration of the idea, not the product.

How it works

  1. Sign up and confirm.

Tell us your email and what you care about most, then confirm your address by email.

  2. We start by hand.

For the car, we plan to email you to ask for your number plate and set up your APK reminder ourselves.

  3. Get a reminder in time.

You receive an email before something is due.

  4. Later, the app helps.

We aim to automate more with HomeZero AI in a phone app, always with your approval.

Check your APK date

Enter your number plate to see when your APK expires. It uses open RDW data and runs in your browser.

Please enter a full number plate, at least 6 letters or digits.

Your number plate goes straight from your browser to the RDW. We do not store it.

What a reminder looks like

Example, not a real message

APK for AB-123-C expires on 14 March

From HomeZero

The APK for number plate AB-123-C expires on 14 March.

Book an inspection in good time, so you are not caught out on the day.

Questions, answered honestly

Is HomeZero available now?

Not fully. We are collecting sign-ups for a beta and want to start with a small group. A free APK check tool that runs in your browser exists today. We plan to start with APK reminders, sent by hand at first. Everything else on this page is planned.

What does the AI do?

Honestly: nothing yet. At first, people at HomeZero will do the work by hand. Later, HomeZero AI aims to do these steps for you, such as noticing what is due and preparing an appointment or a shopping list. It will ask for your approval first.

Can HomeZero do my groceries?

Not yet. We aim to build your shopping list from your eating pattern or diet and, if a supermarket that delivers allows it, to place the order too. No supermarket is connected today. Nothing will be ordered without your approval, for as long as you want that.

Is the app available?

No. The app with HomeZero AI is a plan. For now, reminders come by email.

Does HomeZero book or order things for me?

Not yet. We plan to start with reminders only. Booking and ordering are planned, and will always need your approval.

Does the APK check store my number plate?

No. Your number plate goes straight from your browser to the RDW. We do not store it.

Why must I confirm my email address?

So we know the address is yours and typed correctly. Your sign-up only counts after you click the link in our email.

Does the beta cost anything?

We do not charge for the beta.

Is this available outside the Netherlands?

Not yet. We start in the Netherlands because we use Dutch vehicle data (RDW). We have no plans or dates for other countries to share today.

What happens with my data?

We use your email address, and your number plate if you add one, only for the beta and to contact you about it. We do not sell your data. You can unsubscribe and ask us to delete your data at any time. See our privacy page.
